Finley Creek under the stars makes micro weddings hugely romantic!

The trend for micro weddings, elopement celebrations and intimate receptions started out of necessity but has grown trendy quickly.

Finley Creek Vineyards has embraced this most romantic of ideas – perfectly. That’s because we have an awesome Wedding Barn when the time is right for an indoor gathering. And a gorgeous view of the stars (or sunny skies) when you want an outdoor wedding with just your besties and family.

Talk to Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering about planning the details inside or out for groups as small as ten, 25, 40 or 60+. We can help you create the look you envision with an archway of flowers, or a natural view of our vineyard surrounded by wildflowers.

Have a small cocktail celebration or a sit-down dinner inside our shabby chic barn – with antique chandeliers lighting the way.

Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering will create absolutely perfect foods to coordinate with your vision. Finley Creek’s gourmet kitchen is right on the premises.

We do simple or elegant. Wine and beer – to open bar. Light hors d’oeuvres to four-course sit-down dinners.

Vegetarian to farm-raised Indiana beef. And of course, special requirement meals for those who prefer them.

Two hour wedding and receptions to 10 hours. Inside or out. Day or night.

We make small weddings, wedding renewals, anniversary celebrations and receptions… memorable. Let’s talk about what you have in mind.

Outdoor venues like Finley Creek Vineyards are safer and greener for summer/fall events

As we carefully edge toward establishing a “new normal,” where does that leave you when you have a wedding reception, fundraiser, party, or corporate event to schedule?

One of the safer places to have any kind of event this summer and fall is outside. Social distancing is easier, the air is fresh and clean, and the outdoors provides some of Mother Nature’s freshest, greenest and glorious backdrops.

Finley Creek Vineyards in Zionsville is an idyllic place for weddings and all kinds of special occasions. Besides the rustic Wedding Barn, Finley Creek Vineyards has five expansive acres of tranquil gardens, majestic trees, flowering shrubs, wildflowers, and of course, a vineyard.

It also offers all the luxurious and modern features and style you’d expect from a first class venue. Inside, there is a huge fireplace, chandeliers, reclaimed wood tables, and large windows to let in as much natural light as possible.

Outside, you can go casual or upscale with a wedding arbor, gazebo, stone fireplace, and plenty of room for outdoor seating for ceremonies, receptions and events of all kinds.

And, because Finley Creek Vineyards is owned by Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering, you are going to please every guest with plentiful offerings of delicious, sustainably grown/humanely raised, Indiana farm-fresh foods -- from your first appetizer to your last bite of luscious dessert.

There’s a lot to like about Finley Creek Vineyards – especially as we plan ahead for healthy, socially conscientious events. Let’s talk about your next event and make it a delicious, safe and memorable time!

Finley Creek’s wedding barn gets an absolutely stunning floral treatment

The Jamie Wallace-Rob Connors wedding reception at Finley Creek Vineyards was a stunner! The floral and decorating team outdid themselves with gorgeous garlands of flowers and greenery cascading down from the ceiling.

The completed florals received rave reviews by the 200+ reception guests in attendance, and were nicely mirrored by the table centerpieces. The artistic florals definitely showed off the chic exposed barn beams and bones of Finley Creek’s wedding barn.

Cocktails kicked off the evening at 5:30, followed by a sit down dinner from 7 to 8. The bride and groom offered a multitude of food selections for their guests, beginning with butlered hors d’oeuvers on silver trays:

A double-sided chef-manned station served carved Roast
Beef with Horseradish Cream, much to the delight of the couples’ family and friends.

A Salad Station was also on hand with a choice of Fresh House Garden Salad with Champagne Vinaigrette, or Caesar Salad with Focaccia Croutons and Parmesan Reggiano.

A popular station was a do-it-yourself table – the Mash-Tini Bar---
with Idaho Mashed Potato with Creme Fraiche, and any kind of topping you could want, from Scallions, Sour Cream, Au Jus, to Shredded Cheddar, Butter, Bacon, and Blue Cheese.

There were special plates for children, naturally, and plenty of time to present, toast, cut and serve the wedding cake, also draped in flowers.

Guests enjoyed the rest of the evening with music and dancing through 11, with guests enjoying the lovely temperatures outside by the fire pit as well as inside the barn.

A glorious wedding to remember! Congrats, Jamie and Rob!

Perfect Inside/Outside D’Angelo wedding

After meeting with Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering staff and visiting the indoor and outdoor facilities at Finley Creek Vineyards, Katherine D’Angelo non-hesitatingly set up her Saturday wedding reception at Finley Creek for one hundred guests.

Nothing very special about that. Except -- that Finley Creek Vineyards has some pretty fabulous exterior and interior expanses to it’s name, which came in pretty handy when planning an event in May. Nice to know you can easily head inside to a gorgeously appointed party barn, or be outside – enjoying natural floral, almost pastoral acreage.

Turns out, Katherine’s day required both. Her wedding ceremony was outside – ending with brief light rainshowers – but preparations had been made, and umbrellas were on hand for all guests.

Once the “I dos” were said, everyone headed into the party barn for cocktail hour, followed by a tasty sit-down dinner, and then a reception lasting well into the evening hours.

Here is Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering menu for Katherine's special day   :

BUTLERED HORS D'OEUVRES

SALAD

Mixed Organic Field Greens with Pecans, Cranberries, Goat Cheese and Champagne or Balsamic Dressing

ENTREE

And for the vegetarian guests, a Traditional Roasted Ratatouille Lasagna with Basil Pesto and Ricotta.

Katherine’s perfect day succeeded without a hitch – despite the light rain – and created a wonderful memory for all in attendance.
