Finley Creek’s wedding barn gets an absolutely stunning floral treatment

The Jamie Wallace-Rob Connors wedding reception at Finley Creek Vineyards was a stunner! The floral and decorating team outdid themselves with gorgeous garlands of flowers and greenery cascading down from the ceiling.

The completed florals received rave reviews by the 200+ reception guests in attendance, and were nicely mirrored by the table centerpieces. The artistic florals definitely showed off the chic exposed barn beams and bones of Finley Creek’s wedding barn.

Cocktails kicked off the evening at 5:30, followed by a sit down dinner from 7 to 8. The bride and groom offered a multitude of food selections for their guests, beginning with butlered hors d’oeuvers on silver trays:

A double-sided chef-manned station served carved Roast
Beef with Horseradish Cream, much to the delight of the couples’ family and friends.

A Salad Station was also on hand with a choice of Fresh House Garden Salad with Champagne Vinaigrette, or Caesar Salad with Focaccia Croutons and Parmesan Reggiano.

A popular station was a do-it-yourself table – the Mash-Tini Bar---
with Idaho Mashed Potato with Creme Fraiche, and any kind of topping you could want, from Scallions, Sour Cream, Au Jus, to Shredded Cheddar, Butter, Bacon, and Blue Cheese.

There were special plates for children, naturally, and plenty of time to present, toast, cut and serve the wedding cake, also draped in flowers.

Guests enjoyed the rest of the evening with music and dancing through 11, with guests enjoying the lovely temperatures outside by the fire pit as well as inside the barn.

A glorious wedding to remember! Congrats, Jamie and Rob!

2018 food trends to watch

Finley Creek Vineyard stays on top of catering trends and new ways of preparing and presenting various types of food.

As Jacquie Bols, owner of Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering and Finley Creek Vineyard is quick to point out, “Food trends don't suddenly happen. They're expansions of ideas from one end of the country to the other. It’s fun to see where these ideas come from, and where they go.”

Here’s what we expect to see more of, in the coming year:
